I too read the sidebar. I think its BS. I have now driven my BFG GForce R1s in one Auto-x. I liked 'em but my limited experience with R tires makes my opinion kind of meaningless compared to more vet

Marketing BS in my book. I don't know about its durability or abilities in rain (though i'd be doubtful of the latter) but I can sure say that I've never felt a worse ride from simply a tire change.
