Okay, I'll play. All these choices are course dependent and are highly subjective but here goes: 1. 86 Z51 Automatic - perfect match between tranny and L98 torque, very light at around 3100ish lbs. 2

I know Mike will smack me if I unintentionally misrepresent him here, but Mike McClure used to have a '96 LT-4 and loved the straight line power, but could never make the car turn (in SS legal form)

About two years ago I was wondering the same thing. I believe the ZR1 would be the best with the right driver, but I ended up getting an LT4 mainly due to the maintenance & repair costs. I figure if

I feel I must take this opportunity to uphold the L98's reputation as a tractor motor. My '87 made 300+ ft-lbs from 2000 to 4000 with a peak of 326. I won't mention the fact that the hp number sucked
