To remove the starter motor from a series 2, one must remove the headers. If there is an easy way, I have never learned it. The series 3, 4, 5 with cast iron headers can be removed with a little fine

Not true! My Uncle removed and replaced my Series II starter "Back in the day", using a very long 3/8" extension and some very colorful language. This is not to say it was easy. If I remember correct

Changing polarity does not affect the starter motor. It does, however affect the generator, provided you have the original dynamo, and have not upgraded to an alternator, you can switch. You should
