As usual, the simple is not so simple. I have removed the steering wheel nut, soaked the splines in Aerokroil, but can't get the steering wheel to budge. There doesn't appear to be any way of using a

I've always had excellent luck using the range of the adjuster as a sort of slide hammer. Put the nut back on the shaft, but only just flush with the shaft. Leave the adjuster loosened, push the whee

Sorry to say this but you are damaging your steering column and that is poor advise to others. Here is an attachment I have sent to many Tiger owners. I have rebuilt over 100 Tiger steering columns

Once youve loosened the adjuster mechanism, and the retaining nut, a couple of good tugs to from the bottom to the top of its travel should normally do the trick. Julian.

Many thanks for the many responses on how to remove a recalcitrant steering wheel. I finally used Jim Leaches suggestion of drilling two holes through the boss, inserting bolts and attaching a puller
