- I've had too many bad experiences with electronis ignition. Plus, it costs almost nothing to carry a spare set of points and a condensor, but carrying a spare electronic distributor? Try finding one

- I switched my Series V to Petronix roughly 15 years ago, or 50,000 miles. Never a problem. I used to get occasional pings on hills; they disappeared with the Petronix. I do keep a spare set of points
