- Another very common cause of dim dash lights is dirty guage glass covers. I was absolutely astonished how much brighter and sharper my guages were after I took off the glass and cleaned them inside.

- That's odd that you mention it. Because the guy originally said the car was a '67 with a 289 - so I was thinking it was a Mark II. He read me the VIN over the phone and it was clearly a Mark 1 VIN.
