I have seen references here that it says in the owners manual to unzip the back. I looked in mine and it does not mention to unzip it. The manual is a '74, could there be differences in the different

I have developed the same problem but only as I turn left and when the wheel is turned about 1/4 rotation. I assumed that I had a short in the column but have not taken the time to check it out yet.
