Very cool ! Congratulations !

I will definitely second MJB ... if I needed TR help in SLC, he's who I
would go to.

But TRactor motors are not all that difficult to tackle, so you might
consider picking up a shop manual and giving it a whirl yourself. I did my
first one when I was 19, and it still runs today. (This is called getting
lucky <G>)

With that commission number, it should be a TR3, not a 3A. TS22014 was
supposedly the first TR3A, although there may have been a few exceptions on
either side. (Actually, the factory never recognized the 3A designation, so
technically it's a TR3 regardless.) Almost certainly the front apron has
been replaced at some point in it's lifetime.

I'm currently working on TS13571L, which has the same issue. It should be
noted that the front bumper and it's mounts also changed with the change in
front apron ... apparently whoever did my car didn't know that.

One other thing, you might want to join the "Triumphs" list on Team.Net
rather than this one (VTR). Lots more people over there, and a somewhat
higher proportion of sidescreen TR (TR2/3/A/B) traffic.
