Most of my TRs have been in the driver catagory and I've often taken them to
shows and paid the entry fee knowing full well I had no chance of winning
anything. I've done that because it is simply more fun to be on the field as
a participant than walking the field as a spectator. I've never been
put in a position where the owners of the spit and polich cars didn't
want my car there. For those events that charge spectator admission, it is
a no brainer to see that the costs are about the same to be part of the show
instead of a spaectator. As a participant, I have my cooler with us, we
have fold-up chairs and a great place to store those flea market
goodies we bought rather than having to go find the car
in a public parking area.

I'm curious as to what aspects of the events are not with the cars?

One way to address that is to just leave a business card or a some
type of message for the owner to call you mentioning you are interested
in some information about the car.
