I'm going to the VDCA event at Carolina Motorsports Park next month and need
some opinions on gearing.
I've heard the track described as 'short" but in looking at the website I
see that the front straight between turn 14 and turn 1 is 1550' long and the
straight between #'s 7 and 8 is 1800 feet long with only a very slight kink,
plus I understand that the turn 5-7 complex has been made faster.
Can anyone compare recommended gearing to, say VIR or even Roebling Road?
Would the same gearing hold for CMS or should I be using one notch shorter
differential ratio?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Best--Michael Oritt
