harold "hal" keck passed away on monday jan 7th. he was a northeast cobra
privateer. but his best remembered ride was daytona's 24 hours event of 1965
when he co-drove the cobra daytona coupe to a second over all and first in
class finish. harold was an A-production national champion with numerous PHA
records. harold was a very good friend of my fathers i spent many hours
playing with his 3 children who are all about my age. any of you who had the
thrill of meeting or speaking with harold can attest to his fluency in 4 letter
words. kinda speaks of why you seem to never have any quotes in publications
about that era or those cars! harold is survived by his wife and two sons
and daughter.
on line expressions of sympathy can be left at: www.heintzelmanfh.com or the
guest book: mcall.com/obits
harold has taken his lasat checkered flag. and i'm willing to bet he was
first overall & first in class driving a cobra.
