speak with anyone who is not deep into some kind of "problem" . anyone !
the old course is very frightening if you go drive it by yourself as you
must keep in mind the surface changes back then and the down hill portion
into town must have been absolutly spooky at speed in cars of the era!
we were not able to get any "speed" through town on our recreation race
laps as too many people on the streets but up past the lodge and across the
back of the old course around the rail road overpass we did get going
rather "spiritedly"!! (for a saab!)
if you get a chance to visit the actual glenn in town that's kinda neat too!
the whole area is just beautifull and if you like wine there are numerous
vinyards and neat places to dine. between the history of the event, the
resort type atmosphere and the older homes and buildings the area has quite
a charm to it!
do not forget to read your copy of the last open road and visit seneca
lodge too!
of course the small bore group is quite fun to watch (ok, i'm a tad partial
there...ok?) and the MG gathering will be an absolute "must watch" too!
but by all means visit with the racers and the cars!
how will your wife feel atthe event? if she likes shopping down town will
be fun. if she likes dining in an old lodge atmosphere seneca lodge is
tops! as for socialising at the track? stop by and see gross's (white
bugeye with red stripe!) .
sorry i'll miss this one chris! (no i'm not spinning in front of you in
the bus stop this year! LOL!)
