I haven't used a G-Tech before but I have used a Vericom 2000 accelerometer a
lot over the past ten years in accident reconstruction. What the unit is doing
is very simple. It calculates data based upon acceleration or deceleration.
This unit does a lot of math calculations for you then displays it on a
screen, making it's use 'user friendly and in real-time'. With the Vericom I
would record acceleration or deceleration data from the unit then apply it in
specific formulae to aid determining what happened in collisions and/or
prove/disprove collision sequence theories. Everything is based upon Newton's
three laws of motion so it's not "rocket science", just some real simple
physics.
The unit is going to do what it advertises. It's all pretty simple math; just
that the G-Tech does the math for you in real time. If you don't mind spending
the money and the unit is going to provide data that you feel you need then go
for it.

Has anyone tried one of the G-TECH performance meter (G-TECH pro or G-TECH
Competition) in their vintage racer? Is it worthwhile? any
recommendations?
