Actually the car I am looking at is the Hu Kleinpeter car as discussed in the
first part of the article, (link below), as Bill stated, it did run in
A-production at one time.

http://www.panteraclub.com/racing.htm

Best I can tell however, the car never ran any "vintage", (before 1973), Trans
Am events but it sure seems to have a good history after that.

I also agree with you Pat in that I don't believe any Pantera's raced in T/A
events earlier than Warren Tope's efforts of 1973 which would not qualify for
Group 6 SVRA or the Historic T/A series out West but I think the car would be
a hoot to drive.

I also don't think, (at least from a casual look at SCCA results), that anyone
other than Warren ever even tried to race one of these cars in the Trans Am
series -- still looking, but again it would certainly be after the close of
'72 or maybe much later as some IMSA cars tried to enter the SCCA races for
"extra" money.

I'm not sure about "how much" of the car, (meaning the parts), remain so I'm
sort of looking for "guys" that know how the these things go together. (I'm
used to Mustangs and Camaro's).

You know the drill -- don't want to get screwed by have missing parts be so
much of a replacement cost, that the car is not worth buying in the first
place. May have to push harder on finally selling the Parkins Camaro just to
afford all this stuff.

When with Group 6 SVRA History Committee, we tried to find any Pantera
T/A history prior to the end of 1972 and had no success.

IMSA might bear some fruit post 1972. Possibly SCCA production or even
sports racing classes might have had an entrant or two. Those records
    are scarce.

per the 72 PSC....there is no Pantera...but wait!!! per the 72 PCS (1/73
edition) there IS a Pantera...go figure...it was a mid-year rule change to
allow the car as A Production. As such, it won't show up in early 72 results.

There are several race prepped DeTP's floating around the Denver area...now
if we could just flush'em out to the track....
