The Production Category regulations after 1964 were hardly "showroom stock".
Extensive engine and suspension modifications were permitted as long as
certain original parts were used, such as cranks, rods, rocker arms, carbs,
etc. Removal of material was allowed which made head and carb work a must to
be competitive.
Spring rates and ride heights were unrestricted.
All of these are tightly controlled in Showroon Stock.
