As recounted in Steve Nickless "Anatomy and Development of the Formula Ford
Race Car", Nick Syrett, Executive Secretary of of the BRSCC was dead set
against getting Vees going as a class in England. He had seen a Vee race at
Daytona and "...it was the noise those things made as much as anything
else, like geese farting through grass ...."
