I think track owner Bob Scott has always been a pretty good citizen of the
area - and his trackside apple orchards and associated processing plant
bring jobs and income to the county. Also the lunch-time track rides on race
weekends generate thousands of dollars each year that is all donated to the
local school system.
I just love people who move to cheap land next to a race track or under an
airport approach path and then attempt to ban the noise. After all, isn't
achieving "victimhood" a popular goal these days?
