Buy a Sting Ray (63 to 67) that is preped and sorted, and with a STRONG,
legal engine, and an M 22 rockcrusher box.
Don't get cute with 365 engines (327 is legal, and you can use the
upgraded crank, rods and pistons) or NASCAR gear boxes (you will get
caught and refused entry in many events).
Stay with the rules and have a ball.
DON"T, under any circumstances, try and build your own race car. 3
years from now you will still have a partial project, no time on track,
and will have spent more than if you went out and spent the $25,000 plus
or minus, to buy a good, sorted, legal machine.
