OK, this weekend is the Wine Country Classic. In between trying to keep
up with the pack and keeping the ground under the Bourgeault Formula
Junior dry, I thought I might try to get Dan Gurney's autograph.
Question: Did Gurney drive Cobra roadsters, or Daytona coupes? I remember
he was at the WCC a few years back when Shelby was feted and several
lucky Cobra owners got him to sign some commemorative books they had.
I've got a signed photo of Shelby being chauffeured around Sears Point.
I thought I might get Gurney to sign the same one. If he never drove a
roadster for Shelby, I might want to get a quickie blowup of a shot of
three Daytona coupes on parade, and have him sign that.
