My inexhaustible supply of genuine VW CV-joint moly grease sachets has finally been depleted. The local VW dealer just uses axle grease. The neighbourhood auto supply house dealer has (non-moly) CV joint grease "also suitable for wheel bearings". Redline sells special (expensive) CV-2 grease. Is moly necessary? - desirable? What do others use for race cars (Hewland gearbox)? Derek |
