The organization is called the Vintage Motorsports Council, and I am the
immediate past president. At our most recent meeting the subject of
flagging was brought up, and I presented a paper from a long-time SCCA
official from the mid-west, Larry Dent. The discussion centered on the lack
of conformity from one event to another. Our new Vice president, Mike
Connolly of the Pittsburgh Grand Prix (also very active in SCCA) is going to
research this further and come to the next VMC meeting (February) with
recommendations for a National Vintage Flagging Policy. Any input can be
directed to: Mike Connolly FAX (412) 221-1923.
