Hank Thorp operated in Edison NJ as the US distributor for Minilite;
in fact he conceived and held the copyright on the name 'Minilite'
However, the English foundry or their holding company froze him
out around 1977 and the designs that the Japanese vendor Pana-
sport markets are the closest current approximations. Minilites
were 'elektron' or AZ91C magnesium, generallly without much
protective paint, and generally bolt on centers. I had supplied
a Mazda RX4 company car to Hank for photoart for his catalog
and that is my only casual connection there. There are also some
similar looking splined hub wheels from I believe New Zealand
or Australia that Healey racers sometimes use, when they don't
have much concern for unsprung weight (or concentricity).
