MGOC vs MGCC
Please note that the message heading "MG CAR Club" could be somewhat
misleading as the message refers to the MG Owners Club.
The MGCC was the original UK club for MG cars and caters for every pre war
and post war model still. It still is the main club in many peoples
opinion, particularly older cars and their owners, and is the club which
organises the major UK race meetings as well as having worldwide club
centers.
The Owners club is now really MGB and later focused and is a highly
commercial organisation, with spares, insurance etc. Not that the MGCC isnt
a professional organisation too. There are also other MG clubs based in the
UK with worldwide membership.
Just to put things straight - with no axe to grind and having been a member
of both!
