I hope no one takes offense at this off-topic posting, but I know many
posters are AOL/Compuserve subscribers. This news item, concerning AOL's
acquisition of Compuserve, which could be finalized as early as this
weekend, was in today's ZDNet online TechNews, under the following
headline:
<<AOL to Gut CompuServe?
America Online considers laying off more than 20% of the CompuServe
customer service staff in an effort to reduce acquisition overlap. Gee,
that's smart. Replace some of CompuServe's good support workers with
AOL's lousy ones.>>
