I supose I ought to point out that the first IMAX in the UK (probably in
Europe) was installed in my home town (Bradford, West Yorks) some years
ago. It is currently out of action due to a major redevelopment of the
site - which includes the British National Museum of Film, Photography
and Television. I suspect that European IMAX operators would think that
the Super Speedway film would not be relevant to European audiences.
Certainly the Bradford IMAX concentrated on natural history films (like
the Grand Canyon film) and the film made by the Rolling Stones. If any
Europeans out there hear of the Super Speedway showing in Europe then
let me know!
