Mostly, anyone who visits us from another club can run the tires that they
run for their rules for our festival. We have to run to our rules, tho, so
I would have to be say 3 - 4 seconds faster that you through some other
means to run even with you on your tires at Mosport. To be honest, Mosport
is a track where that's possible, since the fear factor is greater than at
most tracks until you get to know it!
But why should I beat the shit out of my car just to run even? I did it
last year, and didn't feel good about it. I run a pretty stock 948 engine
compared to what you can do, and I can't make up for cornering with power,
so I was overdriving the car in the corners (beyond my comfort level) to
keep up, and I didn't enjoy it as much as if I was more evenly matched with
equipment.
Mike R, if you're there, why not jump in more officially?
