How to build a Vintage Race Mustang?

I am interested in putting together a mustang for vintage racing.  Any help out 
there from mustang owners would be 
appreciated.  What should I look for in a car year engine trans ect?  Which 
cars are elligable for SVRA ,HSR, VSCDA?
What type of trans can be used 4spd 5spd?  Can I use discs all round or do I 
have to use rear drums.  What are the feelings of 
current owners?  If you could do it over again what would you change?
