Re David A. Jones query on starting tips for TR4A. Have been racing a TR4A
under Manila Sports Car Club (MSCC) racing rules, which are very strict on
originality. Kas Kastner's Competition Preparation Manual (used to be
available from Moss Motors) is very useful. Suggest you concentrate on
suspension (lower to minimum ride height, stiffer springs, roll bar).
Racetorations in England (01427 616565), which specializes in TRs, carry
many race items, including kits to help the independent rear suspension. We
also removed the windshield and installed period aeroscreens. Might be
worth some mph and looks good anyway.
