I found that I have the Guide to American Sports Car Racing, 1960,
slightly updated by a 13 year old sports car fanatics hand. I attended
a road race around Put-In Bay (sic) in Lake Erie in 1959. My dad had a
1951/1955 Porsche and I became seriously hooked. (Porsche junkie)
Home movies of 1961 Limerock SCCA national. Roger Penske drove a
"Birdcage" Maserati and Peter Ryan a Lotus Monte Carlo. I did a
Driver's School on the Meadowdale shortcourse in 1969 in a Bugeye.
Actually I can't remember if it was a driver's school or regional race.
I have a set of 14 X 6.5 Minilites which I purchased new back in the
late 1970s for racing my Datsun Z's. I subsequently sold the last Z in
1990 but stored the wheels and a set of barely used, unshaved,
full-tread A001s in a cool dry place. The Minilites are mounted with
shaved Goodyear Eagle GT 215/60s. I am interested in selling these
wheels and tires or trading them for some Porsche wheels for my 911SC.
Asking $750 for all or reasonable offer/trade.
