There's a very strong and active antique car movement here. It depends on
what the friend wants. A sports car or a big lumbering touring car? My
neighbour specialises in brass (radiatored) cars, pre '13(?) and is
currently completing the restoration of a 1910 Huppmobile 2-seat sports car
rather like a Mercer Raceabout, which he found locally as a basket case.
He heard of the car, then found someone to buy it and is doing the
restoration for the client. He's operated as an amateur broker for many
years because of the number of people he knows so I'll mention your needs
to him.
