We had great weather last weekend. As opposed to the first weekend in April
when it snowed and they closed the track. We had two fine days of racing
with a minimum of on-track incidents. Most of those were related to someone
putting some sort of fluid down on the track.
I was in group 3 with the other MGAs and had a great time dicing with Mark
Palmer in his brilliantly prepared A. On Friday I finished second to him by
about 8 seconds. On Saturday, in the first race I finished second by half a
car length. The second race, the float on one of the SUs came loose and I
finished well back.
In group 3, Archie Urchioli (in his black D Type Jaguar) managed to pass
Tivvy Shenton in his Jag 120 Coupe to take the honors.
There were many other great cars there. Come on by next time.
