A number of approaches have been taken by various folks to attach a mirror
to a stanchion mount. Most often it's a piece raided from the
Harley-Davidson parts bin.
Here's a recent(ish) thread on the TR Register (UK) forum on the subject.
There are plenty of others out there, too --- try searching for the H-D
mirror.
