If it's not making a lot of noise, you still have the catalytic converter.
My guess is that it is a heat shield and it has lost an attachment screw or
two.

This is a picture of what's hanging under my 2012 Jaguar XF.? Was a part
taken or is something just hanging?
Had a full engine replacement in August and had the brakes replaced in
November.? Any connection or something new???
At least I can recognize parts on my TR3.? With these "new" cars, I'm lost.
