This is a DIY job. Just don=92t rotate anything if you remove the timing ch=
ain. Chain and tensioner are relatively inexpensive.
I would inspect the fan pulley hub surface for any wear. That=92s where the=
oil seal rides. There is a speedi-sleeve available for that. I used one, s=
olved my oil leak.
There is a pedestal that supports the timing cover that is not shown in the=
factory parts diagram (Moss number is 328-995). When reassembling, don=92t=
forget to put a fibre washer of some sort between the pedestal and the tim=
ing cover, since the washer and nut won=92t seal from the outside.

Suspension refresh all done on the 67 4A. Hurray! Now onto various engine
oil leaks on the 72k origi motor. Good size leak coming from the timing
cover and oil pan. Regarding timing cover, what should be replaced after
opening it up? Any tips on replacing front oil seal without mucking it all
up as they say. Planning on a cover gasket and oil seal. Manual says
probably need new tensioner. I'm not a motor internals guy. Doable for do
it yourselfer? I would like to learn how to do it.
