It fits!
Today I purchased a new cheapie 165/60R15 radial tire. It's in the well now=
. There's a flange at the rear of the well that I'll need to remove, but on=
ce I do so, the new tire ought to go in and out snugly but easily. Total co=
st: CAD 100 all-in (say USD 75), mounted on my rim.
I would have pursued the space-saver option if necessary. But I've installe=
d disk brakes in the front, and didn't want to risk that a space-saver woul=
d not fit without further modifications.
