I agree with Geo, I have wide tires on my car, but I autocross it.  For
street driving a skinny tire makes steering easy and handling light and
nimble.

If you want to go wide I don't know if I would go much wider than the
185s.  You would probably want to get a 6" wide minilite style alloy or
something like that for a wider tire size than 185.  Here is a link to a
