Much easier finding a mechanic in 1974, if you tried that today you =
would get a technician and he would be asking you where the OBDII reader =
plug was.

We did likewise in our 1967 TR4A. Drove from Columbus, OH to Stowe, VT =
and back in 1974. Sir Lucas struck on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in a =
driving rainstorm. No lights or wipers! Luckily, there was a mechanic =
at the next exit who still worked on cars!
