Hi everyone,
I am forwarding an email from a good Triumph friend of mine who I met =
years ago through my TR4A website. Some of you know that last summer I =
drove the TR4A to the 2018 Kastner Cup race in Beaver, Pennsylvania and =
met up with Jerry and a lot of his fellow Western Pennsylvania Triumph =
club members. That trip was my first long distance =
=E2=80=9Cadventure=E2=80=9D and was a blast. You can see pictures of my =

Look at this site https://www.pvgp.org/calendar/ and see what=E2=80=99s =
available all week. The Pitt Race weekend is fun but you=E2=80=99ve done =
that, why not consider the following week=E2=80=99s events starting with =
Friday thru Sat or Sunday which includes WPTA British Car Day as a part =
of the Saturday car shows (We have the premier location and the best =
parking spot to be found) This will blow you away and your car would =
have a good chance to place well at the show.

Go thru all the website tabs. PVGP ranks right up there with the =
Monterey event and the only place in the states where races are held on =
city streets thru a beautiful city park. It=E2=80=99s really quite =
spactacular and WPTA is one of the longest supporters. The membership =
really turns out for this, we generally pull between 350 and 400 =
LBC=E2=80=99s.

I=E2=80=99m planning on attending Mid Ohio in late June, Corvair is the =
featured Marque and I am a Corvair fan. Next year the Kastner Cup will =
be at Mid-Ohio and I think some Brits plan to attend.

Knee is still too stiff but I=E2=80=99m told it will get better, I hope =
it=E2=80=99s sooner rather than later.

I don=E2=80=99t remember having to cut my top hose but quality control =
being what it is on parts I am not surprised. I wonder if there is any =
information on the internet regarding cutting this type of material?

It seems that the top hose is too long and needs shortened. Do you =
recall shortening yours? They look to be well made. I=E2=80=99m =
wondering what to use to cut it.

Hi Jerry!
Randall sent me an email with instructions.=20
1. Rotate the switch to the =E2=80=9CRun=E2=80=9D position.=20
2. Insert a punch or small screw driver in the 1/8th inch hole in the =
side of the switch and push down on the spring pin at the back of the =
lock cylinder and the lock cylinder should pull straight out.=20
3. Insert the lock cylinder into the new switch until the pin =
=E2=80=9Cclicks=E2=80=9D into the switch and job done..
Great news on the hoses!! I have a silicone top hose installed over 2 =
years ago and still looks like new.=20
Let=E2=80=99s get these cars running and start enjoying them.

Hi All,
I had to buy a new ignition switch for my TR4A and after opening the =
switch box, I noticed that the lock barrel is not installed in the =
switch. That got me thinking about removing the lock barrel out of my =
bad switch and installing it my new one. And there is the problem.. =
Anyone know how to remove the lock barrel from my old switch and put it =
into my new switch?
