Alabama will give you a license plate if the car is 25 years old and you bring
them the car.? ?They will not give you a title so it's really not much help.?

TR3a deal that I could not refuse
Chris,
My experience has been that a title search will be needed in both states (where
it was sold and where it?s being retitled), a VIN verification by the State
Patrol, and filling out a lot of archaic forms. I?ve been looking at the
retitling a car daunted by the hassle for the past couple years (it?s a race
car I want to be able to drive on the streets) and have yet to bring myself to
tackling it. Once upon a time you could get a title from Alabama and convert it
to a title in your home state but that loophole may have closed. Anyone know if
that?s still a possibility?
