Update - kind of=0A=0AFinally had some time and pulled the head off my TR3=
engine with 350 miles on a newly rebuilt engine and is burning oil. =C2=A0=
This is the engine that had 150 lbs compression check numbers across all f=
or cylinders, consistent but a bit low. =C2=A0Should be up around 195 I be=
lieve. =C2=A0Also a leak down test which pumped in 100 PSI and all four=C2=
=A0cylinders held strong at 98 PSI.=0A=0AAs we pulled the head off we were=
hoping for a big AH-HA moment, hoping a problem=C2=A0would be obvious, bu=
t no such luck. =C2=A0The head gasket fully intact, obvious excessive burn=
t oil in #1 and #3 as evidence when I pulled the spark plugs. =C2=A0Otherw=
ise everything looked good.=0A=0ATook the head and head-gasket down to Dav=
e at=C2=A0British Motorsports and he didn't see problems=C2=A0either, and =
will send the head to the machine shop to be checked out and double check =
the valve guides. =C2=A0Probably going to replace them just to eliminate t=
hat possibility.=0A=0ANext week I will pull off the pan and push out the p=
istons for examination, and at this point I'll probably buy new rings, hon=
e the cylinders to crosshatch the them, and start over.=0A=0AI know I'll g=
et a dozen recommendations, but - piston ring suggestions? =C2=A0Deves? Ha=
stings? Other brands? =C2=A0I'm running a 87.5mm big bore kit=0A=0AThanks,=
