I remember one winter driving from Minneapolis to Pipestone, MN in the TR to visit my mom. It was cold as a brass t#t on a tin witch, as an uncle used to say. Straight 30 weight oil in the pan. No problems getting there, but to start the car a week later for the return trip, I had to build a charcoal fire under the pan for four hours. After that, she fired right up, and away to the New Years Eve Party in New Ulm. Oh, to be young and foolish again. |
