Installing the vacuum advance union into the front carb with the carbs in place
is a pain because it's so hard to get at. It's also hard to tell if the
compression ring has been seated.
Has anyone cut a seven inch or so length of copper tube, installed it in the
union, and then used a rubber hose to splice it to the rest of the copper
tubing leading to the vacuum advance on the distributor? Then it would be a
simple matter of tugging off a rubber hose to remove the carbs?
