You said you replaced the points... I would double check that you got
that little 3-layer cake of connections and insulators back together
in correct sequence.
If you get it in the wrong order you will ground the ignition and get bupkus.
If you do not know what I am referring to or are unclear how that
connection (where the points are attached with the little black wire
-- say so and I can explain further.
