John Sprinzel told me that they got the press operators to come in on a
Saturday and recalibrate the presses. They made 6 sets of panels. John said
they built four cars and "threw the other two sets in the van". I hear now
that there were five cars. If so, perhaps they built another car later out of
the spares. John told me about this when he was at the autocross for the
(2005?) Rendezvous in Grand Rapids Minnesota and came over to look at my TR4.
Nice guy, who now lives in Maui and spends his time windsurfing.
