The are called 'nog-nose rings' and hog-nose ring pliers'.  You can get them
at your local farm & ranch, some FLAPS or upholstery supply store.  It is a
fairly easy task, just keep everything snug and straight as you go.

I bought a set of seat covers for my TR3A.  I was going to wait till the
fall to do the work, but then I thought I might as well do it now (when it
is way too hot to be outside with the top down or up)!!!

Anyway what I am looking for is advice on where to get the little C rings
that are used to hold the upholstery in place, and where one can find the
tool that is used to clamp them.  I would be happy to buy leftovers from
anyone's project
