I have used DOT5 in the TR3A for 7 years. AFAIK it still has the original
pressure switch, anyway no problem with it so far.
It does take real brake pressure to switch on the lights, lightly braking
won't do it... but I think it was like that before DOT5.
Interesting notion about steel vs rubber innards -- hope I never have to
replace mine.
