I've been with AON Collector Car insurance for about 4 years now. They let
me drive the car anyway I want and they have "agreed to value". I had to
submit a bunch of pictures of my car but we did settle on the value I
wanted. The only problem is that they are no longer accepting new
applications so they refer you to HYPERLINK
"http://www.elitecollectorcar.com/"http://www.elitecollectorcar.com/ and
they're like all the rest as their site says "Vehicles will be considered
ineligible for the program if they are used for errands, shopping, driving
to or from work or school, business/commercial, racing, or other similar
actions."
I guess I'll find out in October if AON is still renewing their existing
customers.

Bob,
Did you find a classic car insurance company that will allow you to drive
the car to work? I have shopped around and not found any classic car
insurance that will. In Arizona, if I carry classic car insurance the car is
exempt from emission testing but as soon as I tell them I drive it as a
"regular" car they won't insure it. I do have 3 cars for 2 drivers so it's
not 100% full time driven but the extra car doesn't matter to them..

John,
I think the key thing I pulled from your email is "he drives these things to
work on a fairly regular basis". When I was shopping classic car insurance,
that eliminated many of the companies including Hagerty. As soon as I told
them that I drive the car to work, grocery store, mall, golf course etc and
leave it in the parking lot, they wouldn't insure it. You'll need to shop
around for someone who lets him drive his cars as he wants to AND offers
"agreed to value" rather then "declared value".
