I think the bottom line is that "mistakes happen".

There are a lot of people on this list, with a lot of different ideas as to
what is "funny" and what is not.  It's best, IMO, to not take _anything_
personally.

Cosmo Kramer's post had included :

That said, if you don't want to be held responsible for the advertisements
that Yahoo! adds to your emails, then I would suggest that you move to a
different email service.   Remember "There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free
Lunch" ... adding those advertisements is how Yahoo! pays for their "free"
email service.
