Hi Paul,

I am learning to weld myself and watched an interesting story on Speed channel 
yesterday. They were welding a SS  Header and used a TIG welder. They mentioned 
that the chromium in SS is what made it hard to weld.  I forget what material 
was feed into the weld to fill with, but it was a long rod and the operation 
looked, quite a lot, like brasing. The ends of the header were taped off and 
Argon gas was pumped in.  

I'm hope someone will jump in and correct me if I'm wrong, or just help with 
the missing info.
