I painted my TR3 Filter with Hammerite spray paint in a hammertone finish.
Their light blue seemed to be a close match for the bluish green that the
TR3 had as original. I never found a good green so elected to use the blue.

After installing the spin-on adaptor, I paint those filters with it too.
Looks pretty good!

Good luck and of course NFI and YMMV,

Jim

Subject: [TR] source for "correct" color oil filter cannister paint

I want to paint my TR4A oil filter cannister. Where can I get the "correct"
color? WHAT is the correct color? Something supplied in a spray can would
be most convenient. I could make due with something I have to put into a
sprayer myself if necessary, but I'd rather something simple.
